Dragon quest viii post game

He's very slow so we should always act before him. This boss battle is pure in utterly stupid. We will most likely be handicapped by the Alluring Gaze as it seems like it will always Confuse or Male Characters. You're definitely going to need Red and Jessica for this battle. In addition, she can summon Three Shadows in Memoriam.

I would give the Timbrel of Tensions to Red and Jessica. Okay this is by far the most annoying and unfair boss in the entire game.

He has High Agility so he usually acts first. He has a High Critical Rate so chances are he will be one shotting party members. Disruptive Wave is back and he seemed to spam this quite often so buffing won't help much.

And finally he has Fizzle which will both cripple our healers as well as prevent Jessica from using Magic Burst. My party consisted of Hero , Yangus, Red, Jessica. We will need Red as her Dance of Life can fully revive a party member and not be affected by Fizzle. Yggdasil Dews will probably be very useful here since chances are our healers will be crippled by Fizzle.

You may also want Staff of Resurrections to help with reviving. You're probably going to want to give the Timbrel of Tensions to Red and Jessica. Following this battle will be two more chests containing a Meteorite Bracer and a Seed of Skill. I found this battle to be slightly less annoying compared to the previous battle. This boss battle includes three clones of Dhoulmagus. I am unsure if they all have the same health as each other however I do know that they have different attack patterns.

The most important thing to know here is that Clone A can fully revive the other two clones so he will be our first target. Also, we can see we have another Disruptive Wave boss so keep buffs to a minimum. The battle gets much easier once you kill off the first clone. At this point of the dungeon you may just want the Hero casting Omniheal every turn, even if the party is fully healed, as the bosses may go before him and this would allow your party to be fully healed for the following battle.

This boss can hit pretty hard however I didn't find him to be that troublesome. The important thing is to keep the Heals going with the Hero. The next room contains another Healing Statue as well as two chests with Mini Medal and Orichalcum. Go through the branching pathway for a Purple Chest as well as to unlock a shortcut.

How come it seems like Estark is always sleeping when we encounter him in these Dragon Quest games? Anyway, this boss is ridiculously tough. Even at Level 99 he can nearly kill your entire party in one round.

He is also very fast so he can potentially go before your other party members. Now this guy does seem to like to a sleep a lot so Snooze will be our solution to defeating him. Following the battle, Estark will congratulate you and reward you with a Lord's Bracer. If you are interest, you can refight him as many times as you want to receive 10 Random Stat Seeds. You can now re-enter Estark's room and take a photo of him for Mightiest of all Monsters. Zoom to Alexandria. Make sure that it is daytime and then head to the area just east of town.

During your trip through the Dragovian Path you should have killed 30 Pandora Boxes. Once this is done, fly to the Invisible Island located in the south west corner of the world. Look for the Box of Tricks up on the southwestern hill and take a photo of it for Confusing Coffer. Zoom to Port Prospect to speak with Cameron and he should reward you with the Demonsbane for having at least Stamps. Zoom to Princess Minnie's and speak with her. Return to Princess Minnie's and speak with here.

She will reward you with the Mandarin Dress for Mini Medals. You should have a Grand Total of however there are no more rewards. Return to Port Prospect and speak with Cameron. For collecting Stamps you will be rewarded with a Sun Crown. He will also reward you with Orichalcum for completing the Codex. Make sure your active party has one free slot for the Godbird Sceptre. She will take you to Rhapthorne where you will need to do battle with both of his forms again.

Hopefully you are over leveled by this point and will easily dispatch him Jessica was able to one-shot him with a Psyche Magic Burst. The events of Castle Trodain remain unchanged. Just head to the third floor and speak with Medea. Eventually you will regain control in the Lord High Priest's Residence new content. Go upstairs and into the Lord High Priest's Office. You will see King Clavius standing on the balcony. Go out and talk to him to trigger a scene.

Say "Yes" to show Clavius the Argon Ring. After a few lines of dialogue, you will be prompted again. Medea Ending : Answer "Yes" followed by "Yes ". Anyway, in order to progress the plot, you have to leave the Lord High Priest's Residence. You will awaken in the Inn. Exit the Inn and follow the same sequence of events as the original ending.

Upon entering the Cathedral, you will get a new cutscene compared to the original ending. Watch as the new scene of events occur. And that is it. Log In Sign Up. Note2: This dungeon lacks a map. Note2: These codexes become available after entering the Dragonvian Sanctuary The majority of this part of the guide was created by www. Angelo's Kabuff didn't seem too useful here even after three activations. I started off with Oomph on Yangus.

The he was either Healing or Zinging. Jessica started off with Timbrel of Tension. You definitely want to get Insulatle up.

I don't think Acceleratle helped much but you could try it. She also came in handy with Kazing if Angelo ended up dying.

Her main purpose was to Oomph and Timbrel. Hero should attack right away as you will most likely lose access to him for most of the battle.

Angelo should cast Kabuff on the party and focus on Healing when needed. Have Hero Heal if you need him to and have him use Tingle if you find your key party members falling asleep. Yangus is the same as Hero. Angelo seemed pretty useless here other than for Heals. I did get some attacks in with him.

I didn't worry about Kabuff. Jessica should lead off with Insulatle. You may want to get an Acceleratle going. I mainly had her using the Timbrel of Tension and there were times where she actually got some Twin Dragon Lash attacks off. Hero and Yangus should be Psyching Up hard core unless if you are expecting a kill shot from the dragon and then Attacking. Of course, Hero may be called in to Heal. Angelo should start off by Oomphing Hero. There doesn't seem to be any point in Kabuffing so either have him Heal or join in on the Attack.

Jessica should Oomph Yangus. You may want to have her cast Acceleratle. Hero, Yangus , and Morrie should be using the above abilities as mentioned. You may need the Hero to Heal. I brought Angelo along because I needed additional Healing and Kazing. I didn't have Hero psyching up as much since I needed him for Omniheal. I mainly did regular attacks, hoping Timbrel of Tension gave him the necessary buffs. For Angelo, you would probably want to lead off with an Oomph on Yangus.

After that, you may need him to Heal or Kazing. Kabuff seemed useless here. Jessica should get Insulatle up. I do like Acceleratle because as I said, he seemed fast. If you need to, have her cast Oomph on an attacker. I mainly had her use Timbrel of Tension to help Hero and Yangus out with psyching up.

Hero should lead off with Timbrel of Tension. If Omniheal isn't required, then have him attack the next round. He will either be Timbreling, Attacking , or Healing. No change for Yangus.

Angelo should get Oomph onto Yangus. Heal when necessary. It's nice that Psyche Up synergises with Multiheal otherwise he would be sort of useless in this battle. Jessica should lead off with Timbrel of Tension. Have her get Insulatle and Acceleratle up.

Have her Oomph when necessary and always Timbrelling. I managed to beat this boss on my first try at Level In order to access this area, you must first unlock it through completing the Dragovian Trials.

Hero should Psyche Up to 50 and then Attack. He will be our primary damage dealer. Yangus should just Attack. No reason to bother with Psyche Up as he will most likely be cursed before he can use it.

Angelo should cast Oomph on Hero and then Attack if he isn't cursed. Jessica should spam Timbrel of Tension. Anyone that has Tension should just attack as to not waste the charge. Hero should Timbrel of Tension followed by Attacking. You may need him to heal. Yangus should Psyche Up followed by Attacking. Angelo should cast Oomph on Yangus and help out with Healing. Jessica should use Timbrel of Tension followed by Oomph if you need her to.

Once she is at 50 Tension have her use Twin Dragon Lash. Hero should use Timbrel of Tension followed by Attack. You may need him to Heal.

Angelo should cast Oomph on Yangus and focus on Healing. Jessica should use Timbrel of Tension. You may need her to Kazing. Hero should use Timbrel of Tension and then either Power Throw if he has a Boomerang or one of his many multi-target abilities. Angelo should cast Oomph on Jessica to start. If you don't need him for healing then Oomph on Hero followed by Yangus. Jessica should use the Timbrel of Tension followed by attacking with the Gringham Whip. For the Hero , Attack if you can otherwise keep the party healed with Omniheal.

Angelo should cast Oomph on Yangus then use Timbrel of Tension when he can. You may need him to help out with Healing. Have her attack with Twin Dragon Lash once her tension reaches He may also need to be called in for Healing. For Yangus , you may want to Psyche Up.

As I said, Disruptive Wave occurred quite frequently here. The boss is fairly difficult for the time it's revealed I think he's actually harder than Rhapthorne. Layout is solid. Puzzles are decent actual puzzles is nice. It adds a bit of extra lore. The equipment and items found there are really good.

As per the second "bonus dungeon? There are purple chests, which refill daily don't reset the time, the game is programmed to bug out on you and not refill the chests , but only drop seeds. Each boss drops a particular seed. The reward is a fight with the series most often rehashed super-boss, and easily the hardest version of him. The reward for beating him is two-fold. One you get to take the final picture that finalizes the photo quest, for a decent final reward. You'll also get a special reward for having beaten said final bonus boss.

Probably the most broken accessory in DQ, and quite fun to use for your favourite attacker. After that, every new win nets 10 of a particular seed until every seed type has been gifted. I do not know what happens after that, as I've never checked. Life can be unexpected. Embrace and prepare for anything. I see. More topics from this board Are physical copies of this game rare?

Who beat these dragons back to back and beat all of them?

I was low level around 45 and I had to do extreme stuff to beat them. First time was around 50, but went all the way through it.

So I was very prepared beforehand. Having almost never used either leading up to that point, it was a cinch I also went for Magic Burst.

I could probably do it around 45 under the same conditions, but it would mean very precise skill setups. I winged it my first time I had the Brady guide, but didn't pay much attention to the details on damage output.

So I went with what seemed like fun based on the general list at the start of the book. After that it's been really heavy leveling every replay, especially on my solo Hero magic and magic-like abilities only run, though I never took on the bonus bosses, just beat the main game.

Then my fisticuff only run also required more leveling, just to deal damage to Darksteel.
