They imitate rather than lead one to reality A painting is just an imitation of nature, which is also just an imitation of reality in the World of Forms.
In other words, we should try to go beyond our individual tastes and preferences so that we can appreciate art from a universal standpoint. Why Account for the experience. Does art always have a function? Support your response. Conversely, the more unnatural a state of being feels to you, the longer it will take to achieve. If it is your burning desire to become a professional basketball player, ask yourself how natural it feels to you to be on the court, competing at the professional level.
If this feels unnatural to you, you may eventually, with persistence, achieve this wish fulfilled, but only until you have become so aligned with that experience that it feels completely natural to dunk a basketball and sink a free-throw.
When you place an intention in your imagination, do not allow a question mark at the end of your pronouncement. See your statement ending in a grammatical exclamation point. Remain confident that through continued reliance on your imagination, your assumptions are materializing into reality.
When you attempt to manifest from a place of selfishness or potential harm to anyone else, you invoke the ego. The ego is always about winning, overpowering, being better than others, accumulating for the sake of feeling superior, achieving adulation or recognition, improving your status, and so on.
So the secret is to feel yourself as already being and having what your desire, and to keep the entirety of it all wrapped up in a spirit of love. Always weigh your choices on the scales of love. When you stop needing more of everything, more of what you desire seems to arrive in your life. Try this now: feel gratitude for everything you have in this moment. Know that this is enough.
Our creative power is the ability to convert the energy of our thoughts into a newly materialized form. Manifestation is the result. Beginning with one intention at a time, you can learn how to manifest anything in your life. Think of yourself as a consciousness being played out by God just as a wave is part of the ocean that is being played out by the ocean. This theory of nature will promote the kind of trust that you need to attract to yourself all that belongs to you in the universe.
You cannot receive it or even come close to manifesting it if you have an absence of trust in yourself as an extension of God. Manifesting then becomes the business of doing nothing more than bringing into form a new aspect of yourself. You are not creating something from nothing. You are learning to align yourself with an aspect of your being that your senses have not known they could activate.
When you know your highest self, you are on your way to becoming a co-creator of your entire world, learning to manage the circumstances of your life and participating with assurance in the act of creation. You literally become a manifester. It may feel new, but it is so important that you acknowledge your own Divine role in the fulfillment of your spirituality aligned desires for yourself and others. Feel free to leave a comment about anything you have successfully manifested below, or share any tips of your own.
Read Neville Goddard from whom Dr. Dyer learned all this. Although she has never said she regretted her path, she always speaks so fondly of her journey on the sea, sleeping under the stars in the cockpit.
This spring, I took the plunge and booked a learn to sail holiday. The thrill of the boat sailing under wind, the smell of the ocean, being barefoot… it resonated with me.
Well, I met him whilst sailing, I fell in love. There are things I want to do here at home but I know that sailing and he is part of my destiny, as crazy as that sounds, because all along, I knew sailing and true love was part of me already. Anyway, the last sentence above asked for us to share our sucessful manifestations.
Enjoy the journey people, enjoy the sail getting there…. Oh Lord you are indeed awesome, as I read the manifesting topic, I see where I can better my thought, aaction, and behavior as a child of Go. Much bblessings. I remember the first show I seen Dr. Dyer on was a PS-Channel He inspired me at that time and still is today. His clip on Wishes Fulfilled was awe inspiring once again. God Bless you, Thank you! Thank you wayne dyer for your wonderful and powerful messages and teachings and even though you are now in the other realm you continue to inspire and encourage me to develop my higher spiritual awareness.
Thank you you are truly inspirational. So it is very important to ask ourselves: What do I like? What gives me pleasure? Surrounding yourself with things you love brings you happiness.
Image: architectural detail inside a home in Poland. You will end up with a collection of things that touch you at some level, and looking at the collection ask yourself: what do they have in common? It could be color, or a style, or texture, or design.
Look at your favorite especially, why do you like them so much? Each collection is a way to get to know your own personal esthetic. Once you know better your sources of pleasure, make sure you surround yourself with things that make you smile, and feel good.
Having sources of inspiration and pleasure in your own house, or workplace will make your life more pleasurable. More scientific results suggest that the dopaminergic effect of art on the brain has a powerful effect on quality of life. In fact it has been shown, by Ercole Vellone and al. They were also less likely to be depressed, or anxious.
The results suggest that art may have long term changes to the brain that help the person to recover when things go wrong. Science confirms what all art lovers already knew: art appreciation improves quality of life and makes you feel good.
Great artworks stimulates the brain like falling in love: we produce dopamine. Photo: Maslow's Pyramid of Needs. Public art can help beautify and energize a city. Image: Facade painting in Dusseldorf, Germany. According to Maslow, a person will develop from basic needs to self-actualization in steps. His theory can be visualized as a pyramid.
At the bottom of the pyramid are the primary needs of every human being, and going up we find the more refined and sophisticated needs. A person will not care about the upper level until the bottom needs are fulfilled, said Maslow. Art is at the top of this pyramid, in fact it belongs to the self-actualization step. This may explain why some people do not appreciate arts as much as others, and why our sensitivity to the fine arts changes with time throughout our life.
The language of art, expressed though sounds, colors, shapes, lines, and images, speaks in ways that words cannot. Whether you experience the arts as a creator and artist or as an art lover, you can gain great pleasure and enjoyment from all kinds of arts: music, poetry, visual art, sculpture, theatrical performances, or dance.
Art has a way of reaching deep inside our souls and connect what is inside us, our thoughts, feelings, and perceptions, with outer realities and with our own experiences. Being such a deep experience on a personal level, art can help us understand who we are and enhance life through self-expression. When I go to a museum I can spend hours looking at the artwork and admiring technique, concept, and design. Music is a constant background of my life; it can affect my mood, setting the stage for me to be cheerful and energetic, or romantic.
The cool thing about music is that you can choose it in relation to how you want to feel, and it does the magic for you. Of course, art is not the only source of good feelings.
